RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Zerokit results viewer

You did not request any output variables, therefore there is no output  data for the ZeroKit to display.

I did request the sql output.But when i display it in zerokit, there is nothing to display -only the file name can be seen.I have attached with this email one of my simulation. can you pls have a look and let me know what i'm doing wrong.
I just want to display  total energy display, gas info, heating and cooling load and if possible solar thermal water. i need them as a graph so that i can easy compared them with of simulation. if i can display them like in the zerokit  example. that would save me lots of time.

regards
Jonathan

Did you ask for SQL output in your IDF?  From the ZeroKit-ResultsView er:

Quick Start
  1. Request SQLite database output from EnergyPlus. You must be using EnergyPlus 5.0.0 or newer. Include one of the following lines in your idf:

    Output:SQLite, Simple;

    -or-

    Output:SQLite, SimpleAndTabular;

  2. Choose either Simple or SimpleAndTabular. (ResultsViewer does not use tabular data.) Once you request database output, all report variable and meter requests will be output to the database. You can view these in ResultsViewer.
  3. Click File->Open and browse to an eplusout.sql file in the EnergyPlus output folder. ResultsViewer is packaged with an example file you can use to explore the software s capabilities. You do not need to run EnergyPlus
  4. Examine output variables on either of two main views, table view or tree view, on the left.
  5. To plot an item, right click for a context menu or double click for a line plot.
  6. Drag items from each view onto a plot. In a line plot, the data will be added as an additional curve. In a flood plot, the data will be replaced with the dragged item.

Does anyone know how to get it to display information like in the example provided.

What technical service email did you try to contact?

You can ask questions here or at the helpdesk (energyplus-support@ gard.com).  I can direct them to the proper person if they are not on the helpdesk.
