RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Help on Meter:Custom objects

I am not sure what you are asking for.
======================
Simulation Parameter Outputs
These appear in the eplusout.eio file. For details of the reporting, please see the Output
Details and Examples document.
====================
The following is from the IO manual.  It shows you how the consumptin of similar fuel meter readings can be combined. (Electricity is fuel type)  In think the key name is the zone name, or the equipment object name.  You can verify this in the .rdd file.  .eio and .eso also have the actual object  names.

When you use  ,*,  as key in the output variable, all the zones are reported

In the example below all the  Light Electric Consumption of the different zones are added together in the meter, named   MyGeneralLights.

=======================================
! The following custom meters are set up to illustrate the capabilities
! of custom meters.
! Custom Meter "MyGeneralLights" duplicates the InteriorLights:Electricity meter.
! Custom Meter "MyBuildingElectric" duplicates the Electricity:Building meter (by specifying that meter).
! Custom Meter (Decrement) "MyBuildingOther" uses Electricity:Building as its source meter
! and subtracts out the values for MyGeneralLights (aka InteriorLights:Electricity). The
! resultant value for MyBuildingOther should be equal to the value for the meters
! Electricity:Building - InteriorLights:Electricity (aka MyGeneralLights)
Meter:Custom,
MyGeneralLights, !- Name
Electricity, !- Fuel Type
SPACE1-1, !- Key Name 1
Lights Electric Consumption, !- Report Variable or Meter Name 1
SPACE2-1, !- Key Name 2
Lights Electric Consumption, !- Report Variable or Meter Name 2
SPACE3-1, !- Key Name 3
Lights Electric Consumption, !- Report Variable or Meter Name 3
SPACE4-1, !- Key Name 4
Lights Electric Consumption, !- Report Variable or Meter Name 4
SPACE5-1, !- Key Name 5
Lights Electric Consumption; !- Report Variable or Meter Name 5

===================
! Custom Meter "MyBuildingElectric" duplicates the Electricity:Building meter (by specifying that meter).

Meter:Custom,
MyBuildingElectric, !- Name
Electricity, !- Fuel Type
, !- Key Name #1         (Blank   means all zones using the same fuel type)
Electricity:Building; !- Report Variable or Meter Name #1

=====================
If you leave the Key Name blank, then all the meter consumption are included.  A Custom name is given to the Electricity:Building, and the amount in this aoject will be reported in the custome meter.

Normally, I just use the summary report.  You may  need this to create detailed Certification report with annual energy cost, etc.  for different part of a building.

Hope the above will help.  If not, please ask me again.

 Dr. Li
