How does the program know what is "actually needed"? The answer is...infiltration and ventilation are specified. Infiltration and ventilation are treated separately. If both are specified, then both impact the zone conditions at the flow rate specified in the inputs of each object. Ventilation does not affect infiltration and vice-versa. It is up to the user to determine these inputs. A more detailed simulation may be performed using the Airflow Network model where building pressurization is accounted for.
