I am not sure where you get your weather, but if you are looking
at a live station, it is common for there to be times when there are no
readings because the system is down, no one is there to make a manual reading,
or the data recorded is in error. I don’t know any common utility
for “fixing” missing data. For a few hour break you could
either use the last value as a filler or create an average of the last good and
next good data without much problem. For days of missing data, you have
to have some sort of cyclical filler day. How you do this could introduce
significant error. Ned
