Hi, I
want to ask about the maximum allowed values for the “MaterialRoofVegetation”
object. It seems that for the conductivity of soil EnergyPlus does not accept a
value greater than 1 W/mK. This is a bit problematic for us because some of the
measurements that we take over here from soil on Greenroofs show often values
that exceed this 1 W/mK maximum value. There
is also an issue with the maximum allowed soil thickness, which is 0.5m in
EnergyPlus. We do not often get green roofs in practice that have a thickness
greater than this 0.5m but we still notice some very few cases over here that the
thickness of the soil is up to 0.6m or even 0.7m. Is
there a way to force a value greater than the allowed one and is there any
numerical instabilities that are associated with these two inputs in such a
case where the maximums are exceeded? Many
