Dear Sir / Madam,
I am a student at Cardiff university in the UK, I am learning to use energy plus, and I am trying to use open studio to create the geometric of my building. However I am finding a lot of problems with open studio, I have install sketch up 8 and now I am trying sketch up 7. My problem is that I create the geometric of the building, a define walls (external or internal), doors and windows. However, when I go to save as idf, open studio does not give you this option. I have try to put it manual example. building001 and then . idf that way it is working however when I go to energy plus to create the material properties, schedules and so on, ones the idf editor was locked I could not modified anything. The rest of the times, if I do any modification on the idf edit and I go back to open studio, the file still there but the complete drawing has disappeared. I would be grateful if you could help me, as i have a project to hand in soon.
cheers
