[EnergyPlus_Support] Problem of PV Simulation

Hi E+Support!

Recently I ran a simulation of setting obstruction shading at the top of PV array, I would like to know what's different between PV array with shading and without shading on the top.
I set a parallel plate as an obstruction shading at the top of a PV array(the parallel plate is 1 meter higher than the PV array).
Then I executed two scenario with two locations which are Chicago and Taipei via input their local weather data sets to simulate.
Finally, I found the results of PV arrays of two scenario have same performance with identical electric generation. And the electric generation of PV array with shading is even more than PV array without shading in Chicago in winter time .
Are these results reasonable? Does anyone know what's wrong with my setting? I need your comments, please!

Thank you so much.

Julie
