Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Cooling coil sizing

I don't think there's any way to do this automatically or even easily. If you do one design day
run with autosizing and look at the results for "Design Inlet Air Temperature" and
"Design Inlet Air Humidity Ratio" on the eio output file, you can find this point on the psych
chart, move up the psych chart as far as you wish perpendicular to the enthalpy lines, and select a new design
point. Input this new design point in the Coil:Cooling:Water object and see what happens.
I'm thinking this will give you a coil with a higher overall UA.

Hello,

I would like to know how to manually oversize a chilled water cooling coil in Energyplus. There is no performance input method for the Coil:Cooling:Water object.

Which factors would be affected if I use the global sizing factor for cooling?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Vinay
