Dear Vladimir,
While I do not know the exact number (I think it’s a lot higher than 200), I doubt that you really want to model that many zones without a very good reason. Keep in mind that zoning in EnergyPlus, or any modeling program, should be selected because of considerations for function and scheduling, solar exposure, and HVAC system type, not by room configuration.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Limitations in Number of Zones?
Does anybody know and have the experience with the maximum number of zones(ballpark) that you can model with Energy Plus.
I did all of my energy modeling with DOE2.1E and that number in DOE2.1E is somewhere from 100 up to 200 depending on the number different system types and in general the complexity of the energy model input.
