Hi,
I am currently trying to use the EnergyPlus simulation to estimate energy savings from green roofs using the 'Ecoroof' material. What we're most interested in however is the water used by these systems. I have found where in the software you can input the irrigation schedules, however what I don't know/can't find is
a) does the software calculate the amount of water required for irrigation, and does this take into account any water delivered to the system by precipitation?
and
b) is there a way of graphing/tabulating the water use/requirements similar to the energy flux data output by the simulation?
I have been told that by inputting the following variable:
Output:Variable, *, Roof Irrigation Actual Amount, Hourly;
would allow me to view the irrigation amount from the ESO file. However when I run the simulation it doesn't seem to work, or I can't find where it's outputting the irrigation data. Could someone please point me in the right direction?
