RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Coil:Heating:Water used in an OA Unit

Sorry, Vinay

I cannot answer your questions, because I never read the table and html files in detail.

I am not interested in HVAC usage details, because a green building in a tropical country should not have these equipment.

Sizing summary is produced when the simulation has completed a sizing request.  When there is no autosize requrested in IDF, the sizing calculation may not have been performed.

Dr. Li,

If we look at it like that, Coil:Heating:Water used in a UnitHeater object should also not be listed in the EquipmentSummary output table. But, its not the case, it is listed in the report.

Other reports summary which give capacities of equipments is ComponentSizing Summary but that is generated only when the component is autosized.

I never look for details like this myself.

Coil:heating:water is part of a water plant loop.

Coil:heating:gas is a stand-alone system component.

May be they are listed in different parts of the report.

Hello All,

When the Coil:Heating:Water object is used in the ZoneHVAC:OA unit using an OA Equipment List, why don't we see the Nominal Capacity of the Heating Coil in Equipment Summary output table? While the same method is applied in using a Coil:Heating:Gas, the same output mentioned is obtained.

Can someone explain this?

Thank you.

Vinay
