[EnergyPlus_Support] ZoneVentilation:WindandStackOpenArea

Hi Modellers

I am just trying to understand the values within the following Object:

ZoneVentilation:WindandStackOpenArea

Specifically I don't really understand the "OpeningEffectiveness" and "EffectiveAngle" variables.

According with the I/O manua, If in "OpeningEffectiveness" is input "Autocalculate", then E+ will use values in "EffectiveAngle" but:

What is the angle to input? Is not really clear in the I/O manual. It states "the effective angle of the opening outward normal in degrees...", but I would like somebody to explain as this: "The angle between the normal and xxxx "

I am trying to understand this, but I do not reach to an conclusion...Does it means the angle formed by the outward normal and the North? Why do we have to input that?

Has anyone have a better understanding on it?

Thanks
Luis Blanes
