[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Thermostat Float/Throttling Range



Generally, you are correct (not possible) although I have been able to mimic this type of control using EMS. I used negative process loads to cool a space which I turned on at the upper bound temp and off at the lower bound temp after checking that there is no heating on at the same time. Basically EMS allows little IF statements which are called during the normal simulation. It's a very nice part of e+.

You can manipulate a few object types including schedules, outputs, etc. Check out the EMS documentation.
