RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] WindowMaterial

Yes that is the right object.  You can do what you like, but generally you want to use whole-window values for both U and SHGC.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] WindowMaterial

Hello everyone!

I have a question about the windows. I would like to compare the energy consumptions with different types of windows. What I know is the U-Value und SHGC for the glass and the U-Value for the window with different frames.

Now what I found is the WindowMaterial:SimpleGlazingSystem. Is that the right object for me? Should I input the U-Value of the glass or the whole window?

Thanks!

Amy
