Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] AirLoopHVAC with variable flow Air to Air Heat Pump

Hmm, Interesting.  I'll look into it.  I have been able to vary the airflow of the airloop using a massflow setpoint manager.

Dear Karen,

I?m not sure quite what you are trying to do, but you might consider applying a curve to the fan power which makes the lower speed approximately correct.

I think I did this successfully a while ago, but cannot remember the details or why E+ even has a curve for an On/Off fan.  I hope that is enough to get you moving!

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] AirLoopHVAC with variable flow Air to Air Heat Pump

Hi,

Does anyone know how to set up a supply-side AirLoopHVAC object with an air-to-air heat pump providing variable air flow?  The AirLoopHVAC:UnitaryHeatPump:AirToAir objects only allow on/off and constant volume fans.

I need to be able to step-back my fan airflow at night to a lower level.

Thanks,
