RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Watt/Person at an airport?

I do not think that you should increase the activity per person to 200 watts.  Those sitting down are using less energy and therefore contributes less heat into the room.

The porters are using more energy, but they are only a small number.  Once the luggage is on the belt, they are only lifting them for a short distance.  Pushing the baggage cart also does not increase the activity constant very much.

The clothing on skin cover is also sometimes not appropriate.  It is culture or life style dependent rather than weather or temperature dependent.

For myself, clo value is always 1, even for Summer.  I wear long sleeve shirt in Summer, because it really make me feel more comfortable and cooler, in tropical countries.

In the waiting area, the overcoat is usually carried rather than worn.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Watt/Person at an airport?

Hi everyone,
I'm assuming 200 W/person for my "airport population", because most of them are dragging heavy luggage around and running like I always am. I'm thinking of increasing the clo value to 1 also for the summer, because one always wears your big jacket since it never fits in the suitcase and then you sweet like a pig. Most of the population is passengers.
Any opinions?
