[EnergyPlus_Support] Air Velo Sch

Hi
I want to make a simulation  on comfort. I want to give velocity values. I use my measured mean velocity values in air velo sch. But When I change the values in the same simulation, I see no difference in the values. In The reference book, in pierce model convective heatransfer  coefficient is calculated as
hc=8.6*airvel**0.53

Is the 'airvel' mentioned above, the same air velocity used in Air Velo Sch, or not? If it is so, why my results don't change when I change the values.
