RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] EMS - Weather actuator to control outdoor drybulb

If you use an Output:EnergyManagementSystem object with the field called Actuator Availability Dictionary Reporting set to Verbose, then you can get these details out of the EDD output file.

For the weather actuators, the unique name is hard coded as “Environment” because there is no user input object for them.  Component Type is “Weather Data.” Control Type is “Outdoor Dry Bulb”

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] EMS - Weather actuator to control outdoor drybulb

According to page 25 of the EMS application guide, there are actuators available for overriding weather. I'm mainly interested in controlling the outside drybulb temperature through bcvtb. I've successfully controlled actuators such as vav airflow using the ExternalInterface

ExternalInterface:Actuator,
ZONE_2_AIR_Mdot, !- Name
Block1:Zone2 Ideal Loads Air, !- Actuated Component Unique Name
Ideal Loads Air System, !- Actuated Component Type
Air Mass Flow Rate; !- Actuated Component Control Type

However, I am having trouble determining the following to control the drybulb:

Actuated Component Unique Name
Actuated Component Type
Actuated Component Control Type

Thanks,

Varick
