Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Error help

Hi,

The evaporator delta temperature in this case is calculated as the difference between the temperature at evaporator inlet node and temperature setpoint at evaporator outlet node. (when 'Chiller Flow Mode' = VariableFlow in the Chiller:ConstantCOP). If the delta temp is greater than zero, then that is used to calculate evap mass flow rate.

          EvapMassFlowRate = ABS(QEvaporator/CP/EvapDeltaTemp)

If the delta temp is not greater than zero, EvapMassFlowRate is set to zero and the warning is issued.

This warning is issued when the plant flow rate is not resolved. And in the latest Constant COP chiller model in EnergyPlus, this warning is removed . So I think you can ignore it.

Hope this helps.

We got the following error message:

CalcConstCOPChillerModel: Name="COOLSYS1 CHILLER" Evaporative Condenser Delta Temperature = 0 in mass flow calculation

We are not sure about what this means. Does this mean that the cooling water into the condenser has the same temperature as the cooling water out of the condenser?

Thanks!
