Hello,everyone,
I am currently trying to conduct a simulation using the real-time weather data downloaded from EERE's website. (http://apps1.eere.energy.gov/buildings/energyplus/weatherdata_download.cfm)
E+ WeatherConverter was used to translate the file to EPW format so that I can run a simulation. After the translation, part of the file looks like this:
"2010,12,28,1,60,A7A7*0A7*0?0?0?0?0?0?0?0A7A7*0*0A7A7*0*0*0*0,0.0,-11.0,38,101000,9999,9999,253,9999,9999,9999,999900,999900,999900,99990,270,7.2,5,5,16.1,77777,9,999999999,0,0.0000,0,88,0.000,0.0,0.0
2010,12,28,2,60,A7A7*0A7*0?0?0?0?0?0?0?0A7A7*0*0A7A7*0*0*0*0,-0.8,-10.7,42,101100,9999,9999,250,9999,9999,9999,999900,999900,999900,99990,270,8.2,5,5,16.1,1524,9,999999999,0,0.0000,0,88,0.000,0.0,0.0
2010,12,28,3,60,A7A7*0A7*0?0?0?0?0?0?0?0A7A7*0*0A7A7*0*0*0*0,-0.9,-10.5,43,101100,9999,9999,250,9999,9999,9999,999900,999900,999900,99990,240,4.1,5,5,16.1,1524,9,999999999,0,0.0000,0,88,0.000,0.0,0.0"
To my understanding, the real-time weather file only includes outside air dry bulb temp, dew point temp, wind direction and speed, etc., but there is no solar radiation information. My question is, without the solar radiation information, how does E+ calculate the hourly cooling load and if it is necessary to incorporate the solar radiation data, is there any public resources that I can reach? and how can I incorporate that into EPW file?
Thanks in advance.
Ke
