I do not know how you enter the EPlus objects.
If you select the water coil or boiler to use District heating in a template, the template may expand to provide you with the district heating object. Cooling coil will be liked to district cooling. If you use the normal IDFeditor, there are some example you can follow. District cooling is "purchased cooling". There is a cost value associated with it in the table. "Purchased air" is used in the IdealLoadsAirSystem. Electric cooling will be associated with a DX coil, with compressor and fan like a window air conditioning unit.. I did a simulation to measure the air-conditioning energy usage for a room for one year. To my surprise, in the ABUPS End Uses table, the Cooling energy comes from District Cooling not Electricity.
I actually intended to find the Cooling energy in terms of Electricity. What should I do? And also, what is the meaning of District Cooling? Thank you for your attention.
