[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: query about HVACTemplate:Zone:IdealLoadsAirSystem



As far as I know heat recovery is not possible to combine with HVAC ideal air methode. If your recovery efficiencies for latent and sensible heat recovery are known, you could apply them to the total sensible and total latent energies to see how much it comes to. If you then subtract this energy recovery from the ideal air loads energy usage, you are left with the energy requirement.

In summer, the temperature difference to outside is not so high, meaning the energy required to condition the outdoor air to room temperature is not as much as in winter. If, with heatrecovery, your room exhaust temperature is close to the incoming outdoor air, the resulting recovered heat will be low. Usually, the exhaust air temperature = room temperature (we usually use the "well mixed" approach for zone air). Therefore I would say this is a reasonable assumption.
