RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] the ZoneHVAC:IdealLOadAirSystem and the HVAVTemplate:Zone:IdealLoadAirSystem

ZoneHVAC:IdealLoadAirSystem  is the zone object itself associated for use in a zone.
You need to enter the theremostat, schedules, etc. manually.

HVAVTemplate:Zone:IdealLoadAirSystem together with the HVACTemplate:Thermostat  will expand to a full set of codes for a zone with the actual objects, etc. which the EPlus need to do the simulation.  All you need to specify in the template is the node name for each group of templates per zone..

You should use the template model to generate the working code, as this will save you time.
There are example files to show you how to start.

HVACTemplate-5ZonePurchAir.idf  is the one using the IdealLoadsAirSystem template.  It came with the .rvi  and .imf and should be look at.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] the ZoneHVAC:IdealLOadAirSystem and the HVAVTemplate:Zone:IdealLoadAirSystem

Hi all
I want to knew the difference between the ZoneHVAC:IdealLOadAirSystem, and the HVAVTemplate:Zone:IdealLoadAirSystem

I'm using E+ to see the effect of glazing types and area on energy consumption of a building. I do not want to be involved in the HVAC system. Therefore I decide to chose ZoneHVAC:IdealLOadAirSystem, where the user wishes to study the performance of a building with an ideal system. However I note that I can use the HVAVTemplate:Zone:IdealLoadAirSystem for similar studfies. I did read the manual, but I really did not understand the difference between the two systems.

Thanks
