RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Maximum Power for Discharging and Maximum Power for Charging

I am not sure whether you were asking for simulation values or real safety values.

For simulation, it will be the power received by the cells which limit the charging rate.  If your battery bank is too small, it will overheat, but not reported in simulation.
=========================
The battery discharging rate is determined by the battery construction.

Short circuiting a low internal resistance battery may cost it to explode.
==========================
The AH capacity of a battery is usually given.  Normal battery is charge at a 10 hour rate.
One hour rate can be used for most battery, if you monitor the heating of the battery.  If it does not heat up fast in a few minutes, it would be safe.  Stop or reduce charging rate as soon as it is warm to touch.

The recommended charging rate of a battery is normally given in the battery specification.  I am surpriced that you cannot find them.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Maximum Power for Discharging and Maximum Power for Charging

Hi, in this moment I try to model a photovoltaic system with energy storage. I'm not really sure how to apply in the object ElectricLoadCenter:Storage:Simple the Maximum Power for Discharging and Maximum Power for Charging variables? I can't find it in the batteries manufacturer datasheet. Someone could help me?

Thank you in advance!
