Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Having TWO shading devices on ONE window

I dont think it will be possible to do it like that. But you can try to use EMS to control the conductivity value of the window during night time to reflect the pressence of the roller shade, and reduce the heat losses through the window.

PS: i believe you can do it like that, but i havent messed around with the EMS so far, so i might be wrong.

Hi all,

Does anyone have any good approach for setting up two shading devices on one window that can be controlled under a different control strategy?

More specific, I am trying to simulate 1) a venetian blind in-between-glass that will be controlled to block beam solar and 2) an interior honeycomb roller shade that will be closed the cold nights to reduce heat losses. I am able to simulate one or the other but not both together.

Your thoughts are welcome.

Thanks in advance!
