[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Ideal Wierdness

Use the reporting frequency "detailed" to increase the resolution to sub-time step. In principle simultaniously heating and cooling is allowed by the program (eg scenario is cooling for dehumidification with reheat). Cooling and Heating Setpoint schedules (assuming you are using type 4 thermostats - duel setpoint with dead band) should be set up to insure a reasonable dead band. Heating and Cooling Zone loads will not overlap unless humidity loads are seperately reported if you have specified humidity controls and setpoints. In an IdealAir simmulation, the air is delivered to the zone as specified (either by you or by autosizing for capacities) and zone temperature is controlled by varying the volume of the air (which has the specified temp and humidity), whilst respecting the minimum air flow specification.

Sometimes it appears that heating and cooling loads are simultaniously none zero (see first line).
