[EnergyPlus_Support] Tri-generation system Annual Efficiency

Hello,

I have modeled tri-generation system using heat available in internal combustion driven generator, this system is connected to absorption chiller /boilers through loops and operation is prioritized using EMS and set points. Since there is no provision to auto size this for optimum heat recovery flow rates, we did few parametric runs to evolve the value. Still the over all co-gen efficiency is not going beyond 43%. while hourly efficiency reaches over 80%. Please comment if this system is practically similar to actions of real tri-generation systems. if not then how can we play with efficiency in the entire system. I mean to say if some can highlight the curve structure of IC engine were changing coefficients can raise over all efficiency.

Thanks,

SMH Adil
