E+ has both many example files and “Data Sets” with an assortment of typical curves (Curve:Quadratic, Curve:Cubic, etc.) for everything from chillers to boilers to DX coils to generators to Ferraris (actually I don’t think there are any Ferraris J)

You can choose whether you like those curves or want to create your own by condensing catalog data into an appropriate curve using a handy spreadsheet on the Help desk site.

In my opinion, most modelers use generic curves.  When you think about the fact that many (most?) owners have no clue about:

·         actual occupancy patterns

·         and it is the occupancy patterns which have a major impact on equipment part loads

·         then it does not make a lot of sense to spend time creating a custom curve unless there is a dramatic, known difference from the generic curve
