Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Part Load Performance Curves

You can create curves using manufacturers data by using a linear regression method and input the curve coefficients, or you can also enter the manufacturers data into an object called Table:MultiVariableLookup and it will create them for you.

Provided by the manufacturer and probably selected by the ASHRAE.

I do not use them.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Part Load Performance Curves

Hey guys:

I'm writing to ask about part-load performance curves for HVAC equipment.  To what extent does EnergyPlus utilize them in its energy simulations?  Are they generic curves based on normalized data?  if so, what data is used to generate these curves?  If not, then how are these curves generated?

Sorry for the twenty questions, I'm just trying to get my arms around this program's capabilities.

Thanks,

Mike
