Dear E+ Users, I have a question regarding boundary conditions „Zone“ and „Surface“. Attached you’ll find two nearly identical models. The only difference is the boundary condition. I thought that defining “Zone” as a boundary condition would give the same results as setting it to “Surface”. Fact is that it doesn’t. I found in the I/O reference that when defining “Zone” as the boundary condition, E+ creates an equivalent surface to the defined surface. Is my assumption correct that when I draw 2 zones and connect them using the “Zone” condition, that I would get 4 surfaces which are considered in the simulations? Therefore the transmission gains/losses would be overrated. Thanks for your thoughts and help.
