In your first one, you called it a custom file -- each
custom file needs a "def" (definitions file) to tell the
weather converter program what is in the data file.

In the second case, you said it was an EPW CSV format file and errors
occurred -- look in the .audit file to see what the errors are.

The weather converter program is explained in the Auxiliary Programs
document.
