I do not think it matters how you mount the heat plates or where you place the heat plates for heat balance calculation.
If the two heat plates are at the same temperature on two sides of a wall, there will be no heat transfer for that part of the wall in a real situation. EPlus does not model that as part of a wall. Each plate may behaves like a radiator in the zone not in contact with a wall.. If you do not insulate a radiant panel mounted in a wall, heat will also be conducted to the other side of the wall. The material between the two plates will be at the same temperature of the plates. You can image from here. I am curious to know if one can model a wall sandwiched between two heat plates? Think "experimental setup". If anyone has experience modeling such a setup could you please point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance.
