Well, how would you know if you are gold if you have not completed the model? Each 3.5% above the pre-requisite 10.5% above ASHRAE 90.1 2007 is a point. I advise you to get the advanced energy modeling for LEED, ASHRAE 90.1 users guide. Also you might use ASHRAE 189.1 as your design guide for the proposed and ASHRAE 2007 as you baseline, then see where you are at and add EEM's from there to meet the Gold goals..
