EnergyPlus can provide more information on any aspect of the simulation than even a PhD would require! There are Output:Variables for almost everything E+ calculates at any timestep you desire.
The principal difficulty is learning how to use the program. You may want to investigate DesignBuilder, which uses EnergyPlus for its calculation engine. It is not currently able to provide output in as much detail as you need, but can make most of the other aspects a lot easier. To obtain the additional output, DesignBuilder allows you to export your file to EnergyPlus IDF format and then edit to add the various Output:Variables. DB is also, I think, working on an enhancement to make the additional step /export unnecessary.

Hi,
I'm studying natural ventilation at PhD level and am trying to assess which software would be most applicable. I am testing BMS codes and require information from computer simulation to feed into the BMS. EnergyPlus seems ideal in terms of the input criteria such as schedules, thermal loads etc. but I'm unsure if the output will be suitable. The output which I require from my simulations are zone temperatures, airflow rates (for each zone), pressures etc. Would EnergyPlus be able to produce this output or would additional software such as COMIS be needed?
