According to your reply, I have a few question for further understanding.
I downloaded the free version EnergyPlus V7-1, but I can’t find the examples you listed (like RefBldgLargeHotelNew2004_Chicago.idf) in the example files folder. Which version are you using now? What is the difference of different versions( As the updates are really frequent)? Is there any specific version which has more database or templates, and we need to pay for it? Are all the software integrated with EnergyPlus free?
