[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Adding untreated outside air to a zone?

Have you thought about including a normal air handling unit and setting the coil availablilties to zero?

Building is conditioned with 4-pipe fan coils due to possibility that simultaneous heating and cooling needs may occur. I want to compare building energy consumption (thermal and electrical) when DSF zone is sealed (base case) and mechanically ventilated with 100% outside air. For the later I have a problem. I want to add only a Fan object (preferably variable volume) that will operate when the DSF zone temperature exceeds certain temperature (in my case 50 oC). Is this somehow possible?

Fan will supply only fresh air to the zone. I tried with fancoil object and kept heating and cooling coil unavailable but the fan(variable volume) wouldn't turn on. The same happened when I changed fan to OnOff type. I would appreciate any idea
