RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Annual Peak cooling variable ?

The Output:Table:Monthly object using the “Maximum” aggregation type can be used to make your own summary table for any of these variables.

There is also the meter called DistrictCooling:Facility.  A meter variable requested at RunPeriod frequency does output the min and max during the runperiod.  Min and max summary data are in the raw ESO file, but ReadVarsESO postprocessor only grabs the average value for the flat file.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Annual Peak cooling variable ?

Hello,

I have a parametric study of 1020 simulation "jobs" and with the objective function of minimizing peak cooling load.  I have experimented with the bullet pointed output variables below but all have provided average numbers rather then maximum. I have read the documentation and checked old posts but do not see any way to output to a variable or meter the annual maximum sensible cooling load. Does anyone have a solution for this? I seem to remember there being a way to create custom output values, but did not find anything in documentation.  I would think the peak cooling load would be useful for modelers/designers to be able to run many iterations to solve the lowest equipment size problem and am surprised that there is not an easy to do this- Possibly there should be a new feature added to Energy Plus that is for reporting called "maximum" ("minimum" would also do just fine, but "average" is not very useful for this)
