I have to model pv panels whose characteristics are here:
http://www.fotovolt.sk/pdf/tl_s_class_professional.pdf
see monocrystalline 240Wp
Since I think that model PhotovoltaicPerformance:Simple is too simplified I tried to model the pv performance with PhotovoltaicPerformance:EquivalentOne-Diode
Not all data are available in the technical sheet, therefore for some fields I used the default data. The values that in the technical sheet are in %/K in EnergyPlus are in V/K and in A/K.
PhotovoltaicPerformance:EquivalentOne-Diode,
PerformancePVEquiv, !- Name
CrystallineSilicon, !- Cell type
60, !- Number of Cells in Series {dimensionless}
1.46, !- Active Area {m2}
0.95, !- Transmittance Absorptance Product {dimensionless}
1.12, !- Semiconductor Bandgap {eV}
1000000, !- Shunt Resistance {ohms}
8.7, !- Short Circuit Current {A}
36.53, !- Open Circuit Voltage {V}
25, !- Reference Temperature {C}
1000, !- Reference Insolation {W/m2}
8.35, !- Module Current at Maximum Power {A}
28.75, !- Module Voltage at Maximum Power {V}
0.0026, !- Temperature Coefficient of Short Circuit Current {A/K}
-.1006, !- Temperature Coefficient of Open Circuit Voltage {V/K}
20, !- Nominal Operating Cell Temperature Test Ambient Temperature {C}
46, !- Nominal Operating Cell Temperature Test Cell Temperature {C}
800, !- Nominal Operating Cell Temperature Test Insolation {W/m2}
30, !- Module Heat Loss Coefficient {W/m2-K}
50000; !- Total Heat Capacity {J/m2-K}
I got the following error:
** Severe ** EquivalentOneDiode Photovoltaic model failed to find maximum power point
** ~~~ ** Numerical solver failed trying to take exponential of too large a number
** ~~~ ** Check input data in PhotovoltaicPerformance:EquivalentOne-Diode
** ~~~ ** VV (voltage) = -20959.24767
** ~~~ ** II (current) = 0.00000
** Fatal ** FUN: EnergyPlus terminates because of numerical problem in EquivalentOne-Diode PV model
Any advice, please?
Regards
