[EnergyPlus_Support] how to calculate view factor to outside shelf

Hi all,

Is there away to calculate the exact view factor to outside shelf, it says in the manual that it is a "User defined value for the view factor from the window to the outside shelf."

I think it depends on the window height, shelf depth, so does anyone know how can i calculate that ?
