Dear All,
I have a rather rudimentary question. When using the "Energyplus - Example file generator" in compliance with the ASHRAE 90.1 2007 standard, the example files that are generated come with the climate specific monthly BuildingGroundsurface temperatures in the .idf file.
For instance, when one requests for an example file for Fairbanks, Alaska, it comes with its own set of Building GroundSurface temperatures. So my question is, when Energyplus Example file generator creates the idf file for Fairbanks, Alaska (Climate zone 8) does it take into account that the unheated slab also has a layer of insulation with a R-value of 2.6 (In S-I units) for a 600 mm slab?
Thank you all in advance.
Sincerely yours'
Niraj
