Design days are used to obtain HVAC system sizing data, and weather files are used to obtain operational cost estimation such as electrical consumption (HVAC system, lights and electrical equipments).

I am confused by the definition.

What is the purpose of this?
If I am using a weather file, do I need to worry about a Design Day?
