I definitely need to get a new computer. Interesting to find out that the difference can be 10 times as much time. 
I see $Core i7-3770K OC with Ubuntu being fastest with a  single thread, have you measured for multiple thread? is it still fastest? I guess the real question is, what is your conclusion about the most cost effective (Processor + OS) option for doing parametric analysis on the cloud (eg. EC2)?

Ill send feedback when I start measuring this as well.

If you think your E+ simulation is a bit slow, get a new computer or upgrade the processor may help A LOT!
