RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Lowest temperature for PTAC ..?

Geert,

You might want to use Refrigeration:Case and related objects – those are intended for cold chambres and the temperatures you mention.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Lowest temperature for PTAC ..?

I'm simulating two simple zones with only cooling, no heating, no ventilation. In real life these zones are cold chambres for the meat industry with temperature 8°C and 2°C with their one split unit.

I just want to evaluate the difference in cooling energy when the building is better insulated.

Using a simple PTAC, I can cool these zones, but the lowest temperature seems to be 7°C. Can I go lower with a PTAC?

Is there maybe a better (and quick) way to cool these zones ?

Geert
