[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: IDFEditor for OSX

I have the same problem which you have brought in using the Energy Plus 7.2 with Mac OSX ...
However, I have installed on my MacBook Pro "Windows 7 Home Premium" in which edit the IDF file originated in Trimble SketchUp 8, returning to Mac OS 10.7.5 and running the simulation through the EP-Launch Lite.

There is a software environment that works in Java (JAR) on mac called "jIDF Editor", originally developed by Ketan Singhal, and carried to the Mac OSX platform. It is available in http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Utilities/jIDF-Editor.shtml

Particularly, I don't found the environment friendly, still preferring to use the IDF Editor in Windows, editing the file back to the Mac and to run it, using for this "comes and goes" the Parallels Desktop (Windows emulator), so I do not lose time having to boot the computer with a system or another.
