Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] CAV system modelling

Follow the same rules as for hydronic. One splitter, one mixer...you can't split and then split again.

Hi all,

I am trying to model CAV system for which I have all necessary data (design project). I know how to model AHU with all components (coils, fans, OA mixers etc.), but my concern is how to model the air supply and return paths (for each conditioned zone I know the design supply and return air flow rates). I suppose it follows similar structure as for hydronic systems (I have modeled these earlier)? How to split supply air path on several levels (when you have branched-out ducts, i do not know the proper term but I can send a screenshot of duct design)?
Some simple example file would mean a lot (from a real building).

Sincerely

Marko
