[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: PROBLEMS WITH THE REGULATION

I am on holiday untill the 8th of May. Hopefully someone else can check your idf a bit, or submit it to the helpdesk. A few pointers:
1) eplus does not emulate either proportional or intergral controllers in the same way as those componants in say TrnSys or some other programs. You can read more on the controllers in eplus in the documentation. They use an interval halving solver until the "perfect" signal is reached within the set numerical tolerance. 
2) It is seldom that numerical instabilities happen of this controlling nature, but there are a few known cases. Generally, to avoid these sort of problems, it may help to fix some variables to constant values. E.g. Fix the flowrate of a VAV terminal unit or only allow a constant setpoint for a coil instead of a band. The combinations that may create instabilities are rare, but the developers have mentioned one or two cases.
