Yes I did. But dosent work !!

However I did solve my issue of converting from version 6.0 to 7.1.

I installed energyplus version 7.0 . used version updater of 7.0 to convert my 6.0 file(previous release) .

And then read the 7.0 idf file in my version updater of 7.1. 

simulation in 7.1. works fine now :)
