I’m a long time WUFI user and tried HAMT in EnergyPlus a few times. You are correct about the rain, the model uses only humidity. There is no rainwater absorption
input for the material properties. I found the model sensitive to material thicknesses and thermal properties, so it takes some patience to get to a working model. I used ordinary materials, so I’m not sure what it would do with the magnitude of liquid diffusion
for soils. WUFI also does not do gravity as a moisture diffusion driver.

Is it feasable to include a HAMT set up as an alternative for the greenroof material? My concern is that the HAMT object will take relative humidity into account, but not rain or irrigation as such.
