Length of unit is not the same as "active length". Active length is an equivalent unit...radiator height, number of fins, rows, passes will effect this. I'll try and track down the proper definition on Monday.

If you can only specify the rated capacity W/m, then how does E+ know the length installed in the building if its not, as required in this case, autosized?

My interpretation is that if you have a 2m long unit rated at 6kW, then you input 6000 Watts as the Rated Capacity, not 3000 W/m.
