[EnergyPlus_Support] RE: can't find "PV Cell Temperature" in output variable

Dear Jeremiah,

May I ask what are the "must have" classes to set a simple PV generator?

As I shown above, I set the following classes:
PhotovoltaicPerformance:Simple
Gnerator:Photovoltaic
EletricLoadCentre:Generators
ElectricLoadCentre:Distribution

But are the last two classes really needed to just estimate how much electricity can be produced by a simple PV panel on some of the roof surfaces?

Thanks!

I think you have to use either one diode or sandea for cell temperature-  and that the simple model does not account for temperatures.

Dear list, I setup a PV generator in E+ (V7.2), I can find the following output variables:
PV Generator DC Power
PV Generator DC Energy
PV Array Efficiency

However I can't find the following in the output variable list as introduced in E+ menu:
PV Cell Temperature
PV Array Short Circuit Current
PV Array Open Circuit Voltage

May i ask why these variables are not shown?

BTW, I set the PV generator in the following process:
PhotovoltaicPerformance:Simple --> Gnerator:Photovoltaic --> EletricLoadCentre:Generators --> ElectricLoadCentre:Distribution

Thanks!
